- 2021 – A period when travel patterns changed dramatically
- 2023 – Showing how station usage has evolved since then
Some stations have gained passengers, while others have seen a decline.
The reasons vary from station to station and from region to region.
Rather than looking only at the numbers, compare stations that catch your interest and discover the scale and diversity of Kanto’s railway network.
What I Discovered While Creating This Map
As I explored the completed map, I was amazed by how densely railway lines cover the Kanto region.
Even beyond central Tokyo, stations spread across neighboring cities and prefectures, creating one of the world’s most connected railway networks.
